WHO ARE YOU?

 

One of the greatest truths that Satan works really hard to keep from believers is the knowledge of who we are in Christ.

When a prince doesn’t know that he is the child of the king and that he has all the rights due him as a prince in the kingdom, he will continue to live like a slave. He will struggle for bread as other servants do, and senior servants who are cognizant of his lack of knowledge of who he is will bully him and even take what rightfully belongs to him.

This is exactly the case with ignorant believers. That is why it is very important for anyone who has accepted Christ as Lord and Savior to immediately understand their new status in Christ.

I found out who I am in Christ by studying the Bible. You should do the same too. The Books of Ephesians, Romans, and Colossians are good places to start.

Just as a little sneak peek, I have listed out 40 characteristics of YOU in Christ Jesus. Feel free to add more to the list.

    1.     You are a New Creation – 2^nd Corinthians 5:17 

2.     You are reconciled to God through Christ – 2^nd Corinthians 5:18 

3.     You are adopted as sons – Romans 8:14-16; Ephesians 1:5; Galatians 4:6 

4.     You are heirs of God – Romans 8:17 

5.     You are joint-heirs with Christ – Romans 8:17 

6.     You are forgiven – Ephesians 1:7 

7.     You are redeemed by His blood – Ephesians 1:7 

8.      You are saved by grace and by hope – Ephesians 2:8; Romans 8:24 

9.     You are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works– Ephesians 2:10 

10.   You are accepted in the beloved – Ephesians 1:6
